My TesTimony (2026)
What I’ve come to discover over my years walking with Christ is the mind-blowing power each of our testimonies possess. We each have a unique path of how we came to know, love, and trust God. Many fall victim to comparison, even to the point of disqualifying their intimate love affair with Jesus Christ, believing the enemies lies that their story isn’t good enough or powerful enough or they’re merely being crippled by fear or insecurity. All that’s needed for an effective testimony is sincerity, faith, and transparency.
This is my story, my name is Justin Ludwig and I am a proud saved follower of Jesus Christ. I grew up in Southern California in a middle-class family. We never wanted for anything material, but there was always something missing inside of me. I could blame traumas or sob stories, but I won’t get bogged down with the explanations cause we each have our own horror stories. The bottom line is at the end of the day, I was missing something and I had no idea what it was.
Starting at the age of 12, I began searching for answers that I didn’t even know the questions to. This caused me to look in all the wrong places; drugs, alcohol, violence… chaos. I grew up knowing of God, but never really “knowing” God.
On my path, God did not appear to me in a burning bush like Moses or speak through a donkey like Balaam. Rather, He appeared through a shiny pair of handcuffs, accompanying a felony DUI 2011. At the time, obviously my first thought wasn’t “praise God .” Little did I know that the journey I was about to embark on; one of divine love and freedom from the shackles of me. Instead of a year in prison, the judge sentenced me to a year long Christian discipleship program called Teen Challenge. The last thing I was expecting was to find God, but clearly He had other plans. Throughout that year, I was equipped theologically, as well I built an intimate relationship with Him.
One thing I’ve learned through my ministry that is when I’m evangelizing to skeptics is, “the fact that it boils down to is a simple question; how many coincidences is it going to take until we recognize that it is not a coincidence?” I ask you to meditate on that thought.
I graduated in June 2013 absolutely on fire for the Lord. He saved me from a lifetime of hopelessness and pain. Not only that, but my eternity is secure. The intense gratitude I have for Christ saving me, is why I’m so passionate to evangelize. The passion is what birthed RawDisciple Ministries, whose mission is to meet the “forgotten” wherever they are; the streets, alleys, the train tracks and Mindanao, Philippines to name a few. I never went looking for God, but He found me. This is the truth that motivates my ministry to not love in word or speech but with action, and in Truth”, -1 John 3:18.
Some are under the illusion that the Christian mission field is only in some foreign land. I’ve been blessed to share my story in multiple countries but the real evangelism field, is from the second I wake up and open my eyes; from how I commune with God, love and respect my fiancé, to my interaction with every person I encounter that day. I have learned through positive and negative experiences, loving and hostile responses that each encounter is an opportunity to either affirm their faith or to cast out their doubt of God.
When I accepted Christ, I viewed my ministry and testimony as a cautionary tale. Now, after over a decade of walking with and being refined by the Lord through struggles and revelations, Holy Spirit has changed my entire perspective of the exact same story. Mine is a true story of how nobody is beyond redemption or a lost cause. That in Christ, we can all be free from ourselves.
