Philippines Missions Trip 2019

Youth Service

On the final day of my trip my host pastor and his home church invited and brought children from churches all over the area to come to this youth service and hear what God has done in my life. I was both humbled and honored to get to share about the awesomeness of God with all of these young people. At the end of the sermon every youth stepped forward on faith and requested prayer. It was an incredible time of intimate prayer and fellowship. I felt so blessed to get to pray with them and encourage them based on the faithfulness and goodness of God.

Feeding The Children

Prayer for Healing

We were at a church on the northern side of the island and there was a man in a side house who was bed ridden. He has suffering from bone cancer as well as tuberculosis. My team and I prayed over this man for 20 minutes, inviting the fire of God to cleanse, heal and rejuvenate this man’s body. It breaks my heart to see people suffering but this is what Jesus has called us to do; bring hope to the hopeless, the lost and the hurting. I thank God for this opportunity to walk like Christ!

Prayer Ministry

Night Service

We started traveling into the hills around sunset and after 45 minutes we had arrived at a small home church tucked in the trees. The inside was decorated with festive blankets, strings of lights and I remember the very noticeable presence of the Holy Spirit. I spoke on repentance, gave my testimony and then we had an altar call that lasted over an hour. We prayed for the sick, the struggling and hurting. Every person came forward on faith to share their needs so we could pray together. Some stories I heard broke my heart and others filled me with joy. No matter what the storm these people face, their faith in Jesus never waivers. They were an amazing inspiration and such a blessing to my heart.

Wedding

My team and I traveled far into the mountains to officiate and bless the wedding of these two young people. Since I am not an ordained minister Pastor Advento did the official portion of the wedding and I gave a sermon on Ephesians 5. How marriage is to be modeled around the relationship between Christ and His church. I was also blessed with the honor of leading the first prayer/blessing over their new union. After the ceremony we helped them celebrate and enjoyed awesome fellowship and incredible food. I have never met such loving, respectful and inviting people and I praise God for blessing me with this experience.

Manukan Village

No building, no sound system, no frills. Just a hunger for Jesus and the very apparent presence of the Holy Spirit. Our team and I traveled to the village of Manukan in the jungles of Mindanao to share the love of Jesus and God’s Truth. We preached on the dangers of procrastination, they shared an amazing meal and we had an altar call where almost everyone stepped forward on faith with their wants and needs. God is alive and active in the Philippines and I praise God daily that He has put these people and this ministry in my life. I cannot wait to see my new brothers and sisters again!
