On Christmas Day in 2016, Sean Garland went without gifts.
His mother, Anna Lemke, had just gotten laid off from her job and couldn’t afford presents for her two children. She was heartbroken.
But Sean had bigger concerns: Making sure the homeless didn’t go without food.
So he and his mom struck a deal with a grocery store for some bananas — cases of them. Then they went to the park and, in a downpour, gave bananas to homeless folks. (more….)
